Today we are docked at Portland, Maine. Teddy and I have been to Portland once before in 2018 but it was more of a driveby as we were trying to reach Acadia National Park. Today, we booked an excursion with the ship called Portland Highlights & Lighthouses.
We boarded the bus and took a scenic ride through East End Beach and the City Hall, then stopped at Portland Head Light.
The coastline is stunning and the walk around the lighthouse is tranquil and pretty. It wasn’t too crowded either. You can get quite close to the water.
After the bus ride, we were dropped off near the ship and we walked to a nearby seafood restaurant, Gilbert’s Chowder House.
We got a lobster and a lobster roll at Gilbert’s Chowder House. So yum. There’s nothing better than fresh lobster.
Tonight, we dined at our favorite restaurant on any NCL ship, Le Bistro. It didn’t disappoint. Tonight’s entertainment was by Angelique again, called Angelique Presents: This Is a Man’s World. I love Angelique, her soulful sound and lovely presence.
Alice and Ava decided to try out Karaoke.
Another lovely day under the belt.
